A week ago we had a power cut at about 2am Saturday morning. Stewart was using the computer at the time. The next morning we discovered the computer had been fried in a power surge. Took it into the computer shop and they investigated to discover that only the power supply was damaged. Whew! It only cost $180 to fix. I've made a complaint to
Trustpower asking them to pay the $180. I think its their responsibility that the power surged like that.
On Saturday Nicole went and stayed at her sister's house whilst Stewart and I drove to Auckland to watch
WWE Smackdown Road to
Wrestlemania show. It was awesome. We had great seats right on the
entrance ramp. I was close enough to touch C. M. Punk! I got a bit pissed off with
a lot of other people who stood on their chairs though. I'm terrified of heights and refused to even think about standing on my chair.
I've been at tech for 3 weeks now and are starting to get used to the routine. We have to get up at 6am and be out of the house at about 7.25am because Stewart starts at 8am. On weeks that I work we're not home until 6pm. Its a really long day. I've had one assessment that I've not heard my marks for yet. I have my first major exam on Monday. Its on Legislation. I'm not looking forward to it, but think I've got a pretty good handle on the subject. I just need to find the time tomorrow to spend a couple of hours going over my notes and revising.
Don't mind my rambling, I'm very tired. We've spent 3 hours last night and 6 hours today at a communication course. Then went to the Speedway. Nicole fell asleep on my lap and we left before the final race. Something I'd NEVER normally think of doing.
I'm going to become an
Auntie again within the next two or so weeks. My brother John's partner Amber is due with their second son. Exciting stuff. I love other people's
baby's, I can give them lots of cuddles and then give them back when they start to cry or need their
nappy's changing.
