* Bloods and Crips: Taking the names of those real Los Angeles gangs, the Bloods and the Crips spawn umbrella groups.

* J.C.B. - Junior Crip Boys: Otahuhu-based gang linked to two serious assaults, including the weekend bashing of two youths in Flat Bush.

* G.B.F. - Gambino Family: A "street crew" that claims to have 30 to 50 members. Based around the Otara area.

* T.N.S. - Thugs Not Soldiers: Otahuhu-based youth gang that claims to have 60 to 70 members, who have to prove themselves by picking out a person in the street and fighting them.

* B.D.B. - Better Dan Before: Exclusive female gang in South Auckland. Leader "Miss Chingy" told a local paper her group was formed to offer girls protection." If trouble comes to us we fight back," she told the Manukau Courier.

* Y.E.S. - Young East Siders: East Auckland gang allegedly behind a $50,000 burglary spree around Glen Innes and Panmure last year. Police then said the gang had about 25 members but a crackdown on the ringleaders has seen Y.E.S. go quiet.

* D.M.S. - Drugs Money Sex: One of the two main Avondale street gangs.

* J.D.K. - Junior Don Kings: The rival gang to D.M.S. Both have umbrella groups.

* T.O.C. - Thugs of Canal: Gang members that come from around Canal St in Avondale.

I've got so much to do today. I have to pack for both myself and Nicole. Take the cat food over to Nana's and explain (again) that they don't need to be fed 6 times a day. I've been listening to the radio since I woke up. There's been a double homicide underneath the Wairoa Bridge. This scares me...my sister, gang-associated boyfriend and their 2 baby boys live just up the road from there. I can't get hold of her, her cell is turned off. As usual... I've had nightmares before about the abusive bastard killing Christine. I've always said if anything happens to her, I'll fight tooth and nail to see that my nephews are removed from that man and his family's care. I hate it that those 2 little boys are growing up to see domestic abuse as 'normal'. My sister is an adult, and even though I hate that she decides to remain with that bastard, she's entitled to make her own decision. And deal with the consequences...

I was talking to my friend Teresa yesterday. Both of her daughter's are pregnant and due within a week or two in early January. She was telling me the names they've picked:
Nikki is expecting a boy...Jarrell Robert Keam will be his name. Teresa keeps teasing Nikki's partner Mark that they should be naming him Dorkus Archibald Keam so that his intitals are DAK...which is another name for weed here. Mark is a heavy weed smoker.

Sailekia doesn't know if she's expecting a boy or a girl. She's chosen Jared Kaipra if its a boy, with Kaipra being her grandfather's name. And LaToya Jade if its a girl. She already has a nearly 8 year old daughter called Aimee Ehetera.

Fighting the war against Ignorance and Bad Spelling

I belong to a BDSM forum. Part of the forum involves profiles that kind of work like personal ads. I personally don't really bother with them much, however I was talking to a guy I met on the forum and he was having a chuckle to himself about a particular profile he was reading with 18 spelling mistakes in it. I asked him to link me...the profile belonged to an older guy who seemed to take himself very seriously. I couldn't resist messaging him. Now its turned into a bit of a war. I'm enjoying every moment of it...

Nuh nights

I got a new Queen Sized bed a couple of months ago. Today I went to make it up with summer sheets, and discovered that ALL my summer sheets are Double sized. So none of them will fit my new bed. Bloody things! lol

Uhh I kinda don't want to write about this. And kind of do....

About 5 weeks ago I found a lump. I went to the doctors who told me to come back if it wasn't gone in 2 weeks. It got a bit smaller, but didn't go. It took me until yesterday to get the balls to go back...

They did a needle biopsy there and then. The local anesthetic stung way more than the big needle they stuck into me. Because of the stuff that came out of it they thought it was likely a cyst. But send it to the lab to make sure.

The results came back today and sure enough its only a cyst. I asked what happens now, and the doctors says to come back in a couple of months and they will see how it is. Then maybe organize removing it.

Compared to what it could have been I am incredibly relieved. I urge all women to do self checks!

It might not seem like a big deal. And, well... really it kinda isn't. Just these clothes are like gold. You can clean your windows with just a damp cloth and it leaves them clean and streak free. Way better than the chemical window cleaner products. And alot cheaper too!

If I hear of another person who has tickets for/is planning on going to either a WWE live event or a HIM concert I'm going to scream!

Living in New Zealand definately has its pluses. We don't have any nasty animals or bugs. We've never had a case of Mad Cow Disease or any of those other nasty diseases. We are unlikely to be the victim of a terror attack (ie. 9/11 or London train style)

But on the downside....WWE doesn't come here. The bands that I want to see seldom come here. And the CDs I want have to be imported especially, which takes weeks and cost mega dollars.

Moving to Aussie definately has its pluses.

Toothbrushes and cash!

I have another tool in my parenting toolbox. Nana has been giving Nicole $2 in loose change each week for a while now. Over the holidays shes been itching to spend it. And has spent a bit.

Last night she stayed at a friend's place, but mysteriously lost/hid her toothbrush before it made it to her bag. Today I asked her to find it, and she claimed to not know where it is. So I gave her 5 minutes to find it, otherwise she would be using her own money to replace it. It took her about 10 seconds to 'find' it.

Maybe her having a little bit of pocket money is a good thing!
